Booking rules by state
Delaware state park camping reservations
How far ahead you can book, what time dates open, and the rules that trip people up.
The rules
- Campsites open on the same date one year before arrival. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- A new date opens online and by phone at the same moment: when the call center opens. That's 8 a.m. every day from April 30 to September 30; 10 a.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. Saturdays April 1–29; 10 a.m. weekdays October to March. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- The call center is closed Sundays in April, weekends October to March, and on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Delaware doesn't say what happens to dates that would open then. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- A new booking can't be changed for 18 days. Source, checked November 2, 2026
Book on ReserveAmerica, the official system run for Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Parks and Recreation.
