Watkins Glen, NY (Finger Lakes)
Watkins Glen's campground sits above the gorge with 19 waterfalls, and camping is by reservation only. The 2027 season opens May 14, 2027 (State Parks hasn't posted a closing date). Like every New York State Parks campground, each night opens 9 months ahead: 8 a.m. on weekdays from March 15 through Labor Day, 9 a.m. otherwise.
