New Jersey state park camping reservations
How far ahead you can book, what time dates open, and the rules that trip people up.
The rules
- Campsites can be booked up to 11 months ahead. Advance bookings are online only, at camping.nj.gov. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- NJ doesn't publish a release time. Check the booking site early that morning. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- Non-residents pay more per night. The State Park Service pages we read don't give non-residents a different booking window. Source, checked November 2, 2026
Book on camping.nj.gov (NJ Outdoors), the official system run for New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), State Park Service.
